If I purchase a home as a first time home buyer, owner occupant for cash am I still able to get the tax credit ?

If I purchase this home with my daugher are we both able to receive the tax credit.

If I purchase a home for less than $ 80,000.00 for a rehab and refinance before end of year after rehab is complete could I get my tax credit for up to the
$ 8,000.00 on the refinance

Thank you
