Our favorite Eclectic Nature Gift and Garden on Monroe Avenue in Del Ray is just perfect for last minute holiday ideas. The owner, Christy Beal, a trained landscape designer, has turned her talents to the interior of her shop.
Decorated from floor to ceiling, the shop has a great array of holiday tea or hand towels, candles, ornaments, coasters, soaps, and other decorative items. Eclectic Nature also specializes in great handbags and jewelry for women, both practical and with a touch of whimsy.
My favorite spot is in one of the back rooms where a plain white canvas beach umbrella has been turned into a unique ‘kind of’ Christmas tree with icicles, ornaments, lights and garlands hanging from the interior.
So get yourself on over to 1503 Mt. Vernon Ave. and support one of our local business owners – and then drop into our favorite Fireflies for a bit of refreshment.
